Charlotte Town of Weddington made history around 1760 with the migration of Northerners of European decent. When Reuben Boswell from Virginia donated four acres of land to the Sandy Ridge Methodist Episcopal Church in 1824, the community evolved into a progressive town. When Boswell’s grandson named Reuben Boswell Weddington was born, he continued his grandfather’s legacy and the church honored his family by renaming it as “Weddington Methodist Church” in 1899. The town took its name from the church in 1983.

Situated about 15 miles away from downtown Charlotte and just across the Mecklenburg County line in Union County, Weddington shares the scenic forests and farmland that surround the area with its neighboring communities, such as Waxhaw, Wesley Chapel, Marvin and Matthews. Primarily a residential community with only 16 acres of land zoned for business, Weddington is one of the wealthiest towns in the state of North Carolina, having the highest per capita income of any town in the region. This attractive community consists of housing options ranging from single family homes to sprawling custom homes on estate sized lots. Once a rural town, Weddington is now considered to be a suburb of Charlotte.

The focal point of the town’s commercial area is the Weddington Corners that features a shopping center, a supermarket, medical centers and numerous small businesses. A few blocks away from the commercial area is the Weddington Town Hall situated in the historic, Victorian-built Thomas-Wrenn House. Union County, and specifically Weddington and Marvin, are notorious for having excellent schools and substantially lower taxes than Charlotte NC. Union county public schools are open to all Weddington students from grades K to 12.

Monroe is known for the Blooming Arts Festival that celebrates the local artists through galleries, music and food. Waxhaw hosts the Queen’s Cup Steeplechase, which features an exciting challenge for jockeys and thoroughbreds race their hearts for the $85,000 grand prize. It is estimated by the U.S. government that by year’s end of 2010, over 50% of home owners who have a mortgage on their home will owe more than the value. While loan modifications can offer short term solutions, unfortunately nearly all of these home owners will be unable to qualify for any debt forgiveness.

Many home owners are delaying the inevitable, cashing out hard earned retirement accounts, using credit cards to pay bills and borrowing money from family members to try to keep their heads above water. True financial relief from a short sale is what most homeowners in hardship need.

We are a local real estate firm based in Charlotte, NC that specializes in short sales and bank negotiations for homeowners like you.
Our agents work to get you forgiven of your debt 100%, regardless of what you owe on your home
You do NOT always have to be in default to work a short sale on your home
We are NOT investors, and are not here to attempt to "steal" your house and profit from your misfortune
We will assign you an experienced local short sale specialist to market your home and negotiate the short sale with your lenders
We will guide you through the entire process and answer any questions you have along the way
